Inverters

We have active pilots with Arizona Public Service at two solar sites outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Arizona Public Service (APS) generates reliable, affordable, and clean energy for 1.3 million customers in Arizona. These pilots on two inverter types made by different manufacturers will allow us to measure the impact of our cooling film with controlled testing comparisons between cooling film, no cooling film, and a shade structure.

Our thin film will keep temperatures down on the inverter, thereby increasing output, safety, and longevity of the unit. Reducing derating directly leads to increased profits and reliability as more electricity can be deployed onto the grid. Additional solar energy reduces power peaks and strengthens the grid.
